I just finished rewatching Mad Men for the first time since it aired, and I can’t believe how differently it hits this time around. The sexism bothers me much more; the wounded spirits I find equally more sympathetic and more frustrating; I’m so much more invested in Betty’s well-being and curious about where Megan ended up. I’m disappointed with Pete and Trudy’s storyline. I hope Sally and Bobby and Gene find tenderness in their lives. In general, I’m feeling a bit heartbroken. Anyone else recently found a new point of view on the show? Do share.
